Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TeacherStation ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TeacherStation is an AI-powered tool that helps teachers write parent reports. The Service includes:

• AI-generated report content based on teacher input
• Class and student management tools
• Preference learning through swipe calibration
• Report editing and export features

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update any changes to your information
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Teachers using the Service in a professional capacity warrant they have authority to do so.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive 30 free report generations. Trial reports do not expire but are limited in quantity.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Comply with all applicable data protection laws when entering student information
• Ensure you have necessary permissions to input student data
• Review and edit AI-generated content before use
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Not use the Service to generate harmful, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
• Not resell or redistribute the Service without permission

6. AI-Generated Content

You acknowledge that:

• Reports are generated by AI and may contain errors or inaccuracies
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content
• AI output should be treated as a first draft, not a final product
• TeacherStation is not responsible for content you publish or distribute

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by TeacherStation and protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service. Generated reports are owned by you and may be used freely in your professional capacity.

7.3 License

You grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service. This license ends when you delete your account.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TeacherStation and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

• You breach these Terms
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer entitled to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
